    • Current Capacity*:
      EC550 Amps per channel/contact (when used with 10awg wire).
      EC8100 Amps per channel/contact (when used with 6awg wire).
      *Product Title Current Ratings are indicative only of net (all contacts of single polarity)-continuous-capacity of the connector when used at 24V & 21C ambient temperature. We currently have data to suggest loading upto 200A MAX for short bursts of <10s maybe feasible for select use-cases, at 24V & 21C ambient temperatures.     • Voltage Capacity:

      Whilst the providers of contacts rate them as being capable of 500V, we have only tested them at 24V (as of 20/08/2024).

      Assembly/Disassembly Cycles: Connector performance will drop over number of assembly/disassembly cycles, this is exacerbated by connecting and disconnecting under load and/or without spark protection. We anticipate ~25% drop in capacity over 500x assembly/disassembly cycles but haven’t yet tested for this.

    What do I receive when I buy a LunaPlugs® product?

    You receive a digital download containing STL files for 3D printing, STEP reference files, and accompanying documentation (assembly guide, materials guide, technical data sheets). No physical hardware is included unless specifically stated.

    Can I use LunaPlugs® products commercially?

    Yes, but only with a valid Commercial Use License. A standard product purchase includes a Personal Use License. Commercial licenses are available as annual or startup-friendly monthly subscriptions.

    What materials should I use to print LunaPlugs®?

    We recommend UL94-V0 flame-retardant materials such as PETG, ASA, or Nylon. Material choice, print quality, and environmental conditions will affect performance. See our Materials Guide and Technical Data Sheets for more details.

    What are the electrical ratings of LunaPlugs®?

    Performance depends on material, print quality, and assembly. As a design guide:

    • EC5: 50 A continuous, 100 A bursts ≤10s
    • EC8: 100 A continuous, 200 A bursts ≤10s

    Supplier reference ratings may differ. Always validate performance in your own system.

    Are LunaPlugs® certified connectors?

    No. LunaPlugs® E-series are experimental-level products. They are not certified for safety-critical, medical, aviation, or
    automotive applications. Always carry out your own risk assessment before use.
